Most product leaders are expected to roadmap AI features they can't build themselves. That gap is where launches stall. I started my career by alternating all the tech hats at a business development nonprofit, then ran a seventeen-year digital agency with development, client acquisition and P&L on me. Today, I'm in Claude Code most weeks shipping agents that solve real workflow problems. The job in 2026 isn't to admire the model from a distance — it's to know enough about what's possible to scope the right thing, the right way, on the right timeline.
